Joshua P. Holstead, MD
Dr. Holstead was born and raised in West Monroe, LA where he graduated from West Monroe High School in 2001. He finished a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at Louisiana Tech University in 2005 and Medical Doctorate at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2010. His general surgery internship and urology residency was completed at LSUHSC in Shreveport in 2015.
Dr. Holstead went on to practice at Yellowstone Urology in Montana and Wyoming for 2 years following residency before moving back home to Louisiana. During his stay in Montana, his practice was predominantly minimally invasive robotic surgery for the treatment of kidney and prostate cancers and robotic female pelvic reconstruction. His interests are male and female incontinence, BPH, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, female pelvic reconstruction, stones, but he is trained in all aspects of urologic surgery and prefers to have a general urology practice treating all urologic issues.
In his spare time, Dr. Holstead is usually enjoying the outdoors and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid outdoorsman and has a passion for all types of hunting, fishing, and traveling.
